10 December 2010

I was lucky enough to spend the last few months in the beautiful Sri Lanka....the tear drop of India. Much more western in terms of development than India however, it still had the most wonderful culture and traditions which its people are very proud of.  It was also home the friendliest, happiest people in the world, the Sri Lankan smile is so contagious I miss it.

I took a few snaps....

Main Coon V Scout Moon

I've been thinking awful dark thoughts lately about getting another cat... The inspiration comes from some recent pictures I've seen by photographer Stephany Alves.

I'm not sure what current queen of the house Scout Moon Tiger would make of it but with lots of new changes happening for me I figure maybe one for her might not be so bad...

Dreamscapes 2010...digital manipulation....

Ahh back to blogging.  After having too many fun weekends and sunny times its been a hard job to sit down and actually do a post.  While sifting through newsletters building in my inbox I've come across this lovelly inspiring chap.

Currently exhibiting at the Caphe House Gallery  in London, Central Saint Martins graduate Joshua Datu has produced a series of conceptual digital images by manipulating others.  Having had a nose through his work here are some of our fav's...

Carboot disposable

What do you get when you buy a 17 year old disposable camera from a carboot sale and take it to France for a week? Well I got my pictures back today and I was so pleased with what came back - not only did the little beauty still work, it was also a panoramic!

Trinkets, Props & Collecting Lots...

The last few months have been crazy busy, we've hardly had time to post. We've been scavenging, making, collecting & hoarding for the new Uneeka shop which is finally opening on Fri.

We've found ourselves in some funny places, thanks to Mummies, Badgers, Brothers and friends for all the help and fun along the way.

Summer In The City

Ryan McGinley and M.I.A. got together for a little NYC summertime fun for the next issue of the New York Times magazine, with Maya swinging off the side of skyscrapers, lounging on taxicabs, and jumping through basketball hoops. We love seeing Ryan's return to the original urban landscape of his earlier work. Oh to be there...

Check out the behind the scenes video too!

MM Paris

MM Paris are very good illustrator/graphic designers, they inspired me and the other shapes through university and beyond.  They have collaborated with so many people but, most recently with Prada where they created the Pradalphabet, a pretty mean feat I'd say.
